Filing A Complaint With Your HOA

PROCESS

When you file a complaint with your HOA about a neighboring property, your HOA’s Community Manager will typically attempt to verify the issue at the next inspection of your community.

If you can provide a photo of the issue, this can help to expedite the process.

Sometimes this may not be possible, as with a barking dog or a loud party. In these cases, your HOA’s Community Manager will act as authorized by your HOA’s Board of Directors, homeowner volunteers.

STATUS

Your HOA’s Community Manager will be able to share with you general details about the process of enforcing your HOA’s Rules. We cannot share with you details about the status of a violation at another property. This is prohibited by law.

DISCLOSURE

The identity of a complaining party is not disclosed, except to the Board of Directors.

A state agency may compel your HOA to release complaint details to the agency. This is a very rare event. Your HOA’s Community Manager will inform you if this occurs.

VERBAL COMPLAINTS NOT ACCEPTED

All complaints about a neighboring property must be in writing. The HOA will not act on verbal complaints. This is necessary to review complaints for accuracy, to protect all parties, and to comply with the requirements of Nevada’s state agencies that oversee HOAs.
